Meet the Teacher

Pearson Elementary School

Dear Families,

Greetings! I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.  My name is Mrs. Wimer and I am so excited to have your child in the class this year! During the year, I will be teaching math, math extension, and handwriting. Students within our pod will switch classes daily and receive ELA instruction from Mrs. Gulish, and Science, Social Studies, and ELA extension instruction from Mr. Morda.  With your support, I hope that together we can help your child have a successful experience.

Though this is my ninth year teaching at Lenape Elementary, I have been teaching for twelve years overall. Before my time at Lenape, I have also had experiences in teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade science. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, with a Mathematics concentration from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, I have earned my Master’s Degree in Kindergarten-8th Grade Mathematics and Science Education through Slippery Rock University. I am certified to teach Elementary Education, Middle School Science, Secondary Mathematics, and Earth and Space Science.

Throughout the year, it is important to have a strong parent-teacher relationship. Communication is key.  You can email me at [email protected], send a Class Dojo message, or call me at (724) 763-5299. Emails and Class Dojo messages are usually the fastest ways to communicate with me throughout the school day. I will also send out Class Dojo updates to keep you informed on important upcoming events. Please don't hesitate to reach out at any time if you have any questions or concerns.

I am thrilled to be starting on this year’s journey with your child!  I look forward to watching each student learn, grow and have a fantastic time in 5th grade!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Wimer Apple Fruit Clipart Png | Apple clip art, Fruit clipart, Apple fruit images
